Approval of the plans and specifications for Pump Station No. 58, Project No. 97-1073.
BACKGROUND
Wilson & Co. has completed the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of a
new wastewater pumping station (Pump Station No. 58) to serve properties along S. 9th St.
Pump Station No. 58 will be located at the southwest comer of 9th and Schilling Rd. This
project will involve the construction of a modem pumping facility consisting of a new electrical
control structure; two (2) submersible pumps with a pumping capacity of 700 gpm each;
piping/valving; wet well; etc. This project also involves the installation of approximately 1,600
L.F. of 10" force main along 9th St., connecting the new pump station to an existing interceptor
force main.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the City Commission approve the filing of plans and specifications for Project
No. 97-1073, Pump Station No. 58 and direct staff to set a date to receive bids. It is anticipated
construction can be completed by May, 1998.
