Consideration of action related to the Salina Housing Authority.
BACKGROUND:
At a previous Commission meeting, preliminary approval was granted to two matters related to the
Salina Housing Authority (SHA) authority and responsibility.
Staff was authorized and directed to provide the City Commission a proposed updated resolution for
the Salina Housing Authority, granting them additional authority to contract with government agencies
and to acquire property. In addition, staff was to initiate the transfer of public housing real estates to
the Salina Housing Authority.
Staff work continues on this project. If complete by Monday's meeting, we will ask that the
resolutions be approved. If incomplete, we will provide a staff report and ask the item to be reset for
the April 11 agenda.
ACTION:
Consideration of action related to the Salina Housing Authority as previously approved on a
preliminary basis.
