Job Title:Head of Circulation
How many years have you worked at the Library?
Four
What is your favorite part of your job at the Library?
Helping others. As a former educator, that was one of the things I thoroughly enjoyed
about teaching.I still get to help people at the Library, just in a different way.I also
enjoy the staff I work with.We work hard, have fun,and come together for a common purpose. The Library is one of
the best jobs I have ever had.
What materials do you enjoy checking out from the Library?
I am a non-fiction person.I tend to check out self-help,autobiographies,true crime,and foodie books.I also enjoy
audiobooks because I can listen while I accomplish tasks around the house or while I walk my dogs.
What do you enjoy most about the community we serve?
We have such a wide variety of patrons that we are able to interact with.It makes every day unique and interesting.
The frequent library users are so grateful we are here, which makes coming to work even more enjoyable.
Are you a member or a part of any organizations/groups in the Salina area?
USD 305 Equity Council
What is one thing you think everyone should know about the Library?
There is something here for everyone.Even though we have over 30,000 card holders, the Library is far
under-utilized.From books and movies to wi-fi,games,and a plethora of events,we provide access to so many
educational,informational,and fun things.
