RESOLUTION NUMBER 22-8013
A RESOLUTION CONCLUDING THE 2021 EVALUATION OF THE CITY
MANAGER'S PERFORMANCE, REVIEWING THE CITY MANAGER'S BASE SALARY
AND A WARDING A MERIT INCREASE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas :
The Governing Body advises city staff of its intent to award the City Manager with a merit-based
increase of $3 ,523.20 , being a two percent increase to his base salary of $176,160.12 retroactively
effective December 16 , 2021, in accordance with the City Manager 's anniversary date and evaluation
due date noted in his employment contract, and that the Director of Human Resources will take such
actions as are necessary to implement the change.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners on the 3rd day of January, 2022, and signed by Trent W.
Davis , M.D. on the 9th day of January, 2023 , in his role as Vice Mayor as of January 3, 2022 , and as
Mayor as of January 9, 2023 .

Please attach this Memorandum to your officially retained original of Resolution Number 22-8013.
In the circumstance that Resolution Number 22-8013 was inadvertently not signed by then Mayor
Hodges following its adoption by the City Commission on January 3, 2022 and before the
expiration of her term as Mayor and as a member of the Board of Commissioners, I recommended
that current Mayor Davis sign the Resolution with acknowledgement on the face of the Resolution
that it was signed by Mayor Davis on January 9, 2023 in his role as Vice-Mayor as of its January
3, 2022 adoption and in his role as Mayor as of its January 9, 2023 signature by the Mayor. As
indicated on the Resolution, current Mayor Davis signed the Resolution in his described roles on
this January 9, 2023 on the basis of my explanation of the circumstances and in reliance upon my
recommendation.
