A RESOLUTION GRANTING ADDITION TIME FOR REP AIR OR REMOVAL OF THE
SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING AT 619 S. SANTA FE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. Following a public hearing on May 9, 2022, the Governing Body adopted Resolution
Number 22-8049 finding that the following structure (the "Structure") is unsafe and dangerous, and that
such conditions endanger the life, health, property or safety of the public or the occupants:
Single-family dwelling at 619 S. Santa Fe
and directing that the owner repair or remove the Structure, and to make the premises safe and secure
(the "Work") commencing the Work by June 8, 2022 and diligently prosecuting the Work so as to allow
for substantial completion of all Work no later than July 8, 2022.
Section 2. On June 27, 2022, at the request of the property owner, the Governing Body adopted
Resolution Number 22-8058 granting an extension to resolution Number 22-8049 setting a completion
date of no later than September 9, 2022.
Section 3. The owner of the property has requested additional time to complete the work and has
indicated that an extended deadline of October 31, 2022 will allow sufficient time for completion of all
Work. For good cause shown, the owner is directed to diligently prosecute the Work so as to allow for
substantial completion of all Work no later than October 31, 2022.
Section 4. If the owner fails to diligently prosecute the Work until the Work is substantially
completed, all within the times stated, the Governing Body will cause the Structure to be razed and
removed.
