Dec 15Couple of questions/ concerns for the City of Salina. 1. My family and I went to Webster as directed but there was nobody there. The doors were locked including the Chapel where we were to check in at. What happened? 2. How is it that most of the businesses on Crawford were back up and running but the residential areas are not? 3. Why did the homes on the North East of town, Estates for example, not loose power for a significant time but the rest of the town did? 4. I drove through the entire town trying to get to Webster and back and did not see one Evergy truck working on restoring power. Why is this? Especially when your posts claim it's being worked on. 5. Imagine how we feel not receiving reliable information from you on where to go for shelter. Not receiving any info from Evergy besides they're accessing the situation. Going on 9 hours without power, without heat, and without help. Food spoiled in homes with children hungry. Check Salinapost, ksal, city's Facebook page, and find absolutely no guidance. Is there really no plan for emergency situations? Leadership is suppose to lead not wait in silence until they form a plan that should have already been in place prior to ever needing it. Does the city even have a board, planning committee, or volunteer group that is suppose to step in when disaster strikes?
