97-5113 Agr Fed AidConsd WSabra RESOLUTION NUMBER 97-5113 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR BENEFITS OBTAINABLE BY CITIES UNDER PROGRAM FOR FEDERAL AID ON HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Salina, Kansas, Agreement No. 208-96 between the City and Kansas Department of Transportation, giving the Secretary of Transportation of the State of Kansas authority to act for the City, and in its place and stead, to obtain of the City such benefits as are obtainable under the program of the Federal Aid Plan of Highway Construction and obtain the benefits of such legislation for the City on the terms and conditions set forth in such agreement as may be prepared and approved by the Secretary of Transportation of a project for the improvement of I-135, a connecting link of the State Highway System in the City, and known as Project No. (I) 135-85 K-5263-01(IM 135-1(193)) . Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 27th day of January, 1997.
