RESOLUTION NUMBER 97-5197
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION
WITH THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT FOR A
LOAN UNDER THE KANSAS PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY LOAN FUND ACT.
WHEREAS under the terms of the Kansas Public Water Supply Loan
Fund Act, the State of Kansas has authorized the making of loans to
authorized applicants to aid in the construction of specific public projects;
SO NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas
Section 1. That Dennis M. Kissinger, City Manager, be and he is
hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of
Salina, Kansas, (the "applicant"), with the Kansas Department of Health and
Environment for a loan to aid in the construction of Phase I Water Treatment
Plant Improvements including a new air stripping facility, new softening
basins, and appurtenances.
Section 2. That Don Hoff, Director of Utilities, be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish such information as may be reasonably
requested
in connection with
the
application
which is herein
authorized, to
sign all
necessary documents
on
behalf of
the applicant, to
furnish such
assurances as may be required by law or regulation, and to receive payment
on behalf of the applicant.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor
this 22nd day of September, 1997.
