RESOLUTION NUMBER 97-5201
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO
FIRE LIEUTENANT GARY L. WILLARD FOR HIS EMPLOYMENT WITH THE CITY
OF SALINA FROM MAY 1, 1971 TO OCTOBER 1, 1997.
WHEREAS, during the period from May 1, 1971 to October 1, 1997,
in addition to Fire Lieutenant, GARY L. WILLARD also served as a Firefighter
and Fire Engineer for the Fire Department of the City of Salina; and
WHEREAS, GARY L. WILLARD has demonstrated invaluable and
dedicated service to the City of Salina; and
WHEREAS, such service and dedication to his job and the interest of
the City of Salina are worthy of public recognition; SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That an official expression of gratitude and appreciation
to GARY L. WILLARD, for his dedicated and faithful service as a Firefighter,
Fire Engineer and Fire Lieutenant for the Fire Department of the City of
Salina, be and the same is hereby entered upon the official records of the City
of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to have this
resolution delivered to GARY L. WILLARD.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor
this 6th day of October, 1997.
