Resolution 04-6081 Initiating Proceedings for the Construction and Improvement of Certain Park and
Recreation facilities in the City of Salina, Kansas.
BACKGROUND:
The City Commission has previously approved, by motion, the plan to construct three soccer fields
at Bill Burke Park. The financing plan approved at that time provided for $250,000 in temporary
notes to be sold in 2004. The notes will be converted to long term bonds after project completion.
Resolution 04-6081 provides the legal authority under which the notes and bonds may be issued, up
to the amount of $250,000.
FISCAL NOTE:
The annual debt service on the bonds will be approximately $30,000 per year, and will be paid from
the Special Parks Fund.
RECOMMENDATION:
Pass Resolution 04-6081.
