4.1 National Geography AwarenesNational Geography Awareness Week Proclamation
Whereas, It has cq.m~e to attention of this body that National Geography Awareness
Week will be celebrated from November 15 to November 2 l, 1998; and
Whereas, the theme for 1998 is "People, Places, and Patterns: Geography Puts the
Pieces Together" and
Whereas, through the years, Geography education in our nation has educated millions
of students, and led to an understanding of our world.
So now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Peter F. Brungardt, mayor of the city of Salina, do
hereby proclaim November 15-21,1998, as National Geography Awareness Week.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the city of Salina,
Kansas to be affixed this 4th day of November, 1998·
