Everything worked very well and their report was timely. b. Building Christmas Lights - Santa Fe Days electrical upgrade: The board needs to come to agreement on how to proceed with these important issues. Santa Fe Days - Since the upgrade materials and labor were included with the original light project, Bill Sheppard has pulled those items from the project so the commission may consider them for funding. Bill and Steve Barnett met with me and reviewed the electrical needs. They are recommending the changes provided in the project and the addition of four new spider boxes in order to adequately handle power loads. Two would be used in 100 block North and 2 would be used in the 100 block South. This is in addition to the 2 units now available. Building Lights - the lighting chart has been updated and is enclosed. Open items should be finalized by meeting time. The board must: 1) decide if it .wants to proceed with the partial lighting of downtown based on the number of non-participants 2) approach the city with a request for a grant loan for those businesses who want to participate but need a payment plan in order to do so. (The assessment process would . be utilized for the repayment): and 3) request the city to partner with downtown by offering to pay the cost of the metered lighting for the holiday season (Approximately 2 months). . 114-A South Seventh Post Office Box 1065 Salina, Kansas 67402-1065 (785) 825-0535 Fax (785) 825-7216 Jim Ravenkamp - President, Louise Appleby - VIce President; Wayne DeBey - Secretary, Steve Michel - Treasurer Andy Anderson, Al Gebhart, Jerry Hinrikus, Rodney Nitz, Dan Norman, Wally Storey, Don Th~mas, Don Wendt, Norman Yenkey Don Heath -Ex officio, Nick Slechta - Executive Director
