Page 1 Item Consider approval of an agreement between the City of Salina and Wallclay, L.L.C. outlining certain conditions and understandings relating to the annexation of property located on the east side of South 9th Street in the South Industrial Area Subdivision. BY: ~ - - J ¡/ ,5~~ Information Wallclay, L.L.C., has requested that the site of its proposed mini-storage facility at the southeast corner of South 9th Street and Avenue B be annexed into the city. Wallclay has filed a voluntary petition requesting annexation of this 2.27 acre site in order to have access to city utilities and services. Because this property was outside the city limits when the South 9th Street Utility Project Benefit District was created it was not included in the district. Nonetheless it has benefitted from the installation of water and sewer lines along 9th Street. Since this is a voluntary annexation, staff suggested an annexation agreement as a tool to address any concerns or uncertainties the applicants might have about annexation. The attached agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which this property can connect to city utilities and would be recorded so there is a public record of what the two parties agreed to. Recommended Action Staff would recommend that the attached resolution approving the Annexation Agreement and authorizing the Mayor to sign it on behalf of the City be approved.
