To Whom It May Concern:
We, the undersigned represent the Wesleyan
Women Christian Temperance Union--(W. C .T.U. ) Already in our
city there are more places to buy beer than is good for our
youth. We worry about the accidents and the sex problems
and plan ways of lessening them. Why then place a beer joint
under the nose of our college youth? Many a family have moved
out here to the south end because of the safety for their
children. Beer will not make it more safe. - -
We, the Wesleyan W.C.T.U. request that you do not grant
Mrs. Katherine P. Gibbs an application to sell beer.
Sincerely, for the good of our
boys and girls , our m en and
women,
