This lease agreement, made and entered into this day of
anuary, 1964, by and between THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, a mun
corporation, hereinafter referred to as the"Lessor", and SMOKY
ALLEY MASONIC LODGE of Salina, Kansas, hereinafter referred to as
he "Lessee", WITNESSETH:
v1I7IEREAS the Lessor is the owner of building located at 220 W.
wford, Salina, Kansas; and, is willing to lease said building
t such times as it is not required for city purposes; and,
WHEREAS,the Lessee desires to use said building .for its meet
lings; and,
P?Oi'i THEREFORE in consideration of the rents, covenants and
s herein set forth to be paid, kept and performed by the
ssee, the Lessor hereby grants to the Lessee, the non-exclusive
use of the building located at 220 W. Crawford, Salina, Kansas, fo
a term of one (1) year beginning on January 1, 1964, and terminat-
ing on December 31, 1964; upon the terms and conditions hereinafte
set forth, to -wit:
1. Lessee agrees to pay Lessor as rent for the use of said
building the sum of $ 10.00 per month which she 1
be payable monthly in advance on or before the first day of each
and every mc-:th during the term of this lease.
2. Lessor reserves the right to use the building at any and
all times as may be necessary for city purposes. In the event
premises are needed for city purposes, Lessee agrees to remove any
and/or all of its property as requested by Lessor.
3. Lessor reserves The right to lease said building to of
organizations for their use provided thatthe said use does not
interfere with the reu'_Gr or scheduled meetings of said Lessee.
4. Lessee agrees to rake no changes or alterations in the
premises without the written consent of the Lessor. The Lessee
may, at their own expense and after securing approval of The Les-
sor, redecorate or make repairs to said premises.
0. Lessee agrees to be responsible and to reimburse Lessor
for all damages to the leased premises caused by its negligence
or that of its employees, guests, invitees or licensees.

6. Lessee agrees that Lessor shall not be liable for any
oss, damage, injury or other casualty, of whatever kind or by
homever caused, to any person or property of anyone arising out
f or resulting from the Lessee's use and possession of the above
remises and the Lessee hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hol
essor harmless from and against all claims, demands and suits for
uch loss, damage, injury or other casualty. (Even if any such
laim, demand or suit is groundless, false or fraudulent.)
