Saline, State of Kansas, to-wit: A tract of land containing approximately, 3.5 acres located in Section Seven (7), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West in Saline County, Kansas and generally described as land owned by the party of the first part which lies north and west of a line twenty (20) feet north and west but parallel to the toe of the Salina flood control levee, and is bounded by said line and the old and new, channels of the Smoky Hill River. To have and to hold the same unto the said party of the second part for/a�term of one year commencing on the 2/'day of ° •• 19 gyp"" , and that said party of the second part in consideration of the leasing of the premises as above set forth covenants and agrees with the said party of the first part to pay the said party of the first part as rental for the same the sum of $ a a --00 per year which said rental shall be payalbe in advance prior to the commencement of each lease year. The said party of the second part further agrees to farm said land in a good and workmanlike manner and to protect the same from waste. After the termination of the primary term of this lease, this lease shall continue as a lease from year to year under the same terms and conditions as herein set forth unless terminated as here- ' inafter set forth. If either party to this lease desires to re- negotiate any provision of this lease, such party shall give written notice of their desire to renegotiate said lease by registered mail addressed to the other party at least thirty days prior to the end - of any lease year. This lease is subject to termination by either, party at the end of any lease year. If either party desires to terminate' this lease, such party must give written notice of its intention to terminate by registered mail addressed to the other party at least sixty days prior to the beginning of any lease year. The party of the second part shall not have the right to sub- lease the premises covered by this lease or any portion thereof without the written consent tf the party of the first part. The party of the second part agrees that he will use the premises .� for farming purposes only and agrees to indemnify and hold the City harmless from any and all liability which may result from the party of the second partts use and operation of the premises. INWITNESS S-WHEREOF the party of the first part has caused this contract to be executed on its behalf by its Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk and has caused its seal to be hereto affixed, and the party of the second part has subscribed his name all in the City of Salina, the day and year first above written.
