RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Saline Board of REALTORS, Inc., through
Committee, has exmnined the proposed zoning Ordinance as revised
6-26-76, and
k~EREAS, The Salina Board of REALTORS finds the said Ordi-
nance to be acceptable, and
WHEREAS, a Metropolitan Planning Commission is paramount
to the orderly development of the metropolitan growth of Saline,
and
WHEREAS, the Salina Planning Commission could best be
served by appointment of a Home Builder, a REALTOR, and an attor-
ney, these members being conversant and aware of real estate
trends and the law effecting zoning questions, a~ud having the
expertise needed by the Planning Commission to render decisions
which result in the desirable growth of Salina,.~
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED at the general
meeting of the membership held November 12, 1976, that the Salina
Board of REALTORS, Inc., requests the Saline City Commission to:
1. Act expeditiously to pass the proposed zoning
ordinance.
2. Continue to pursue the establishment of a Metro-
politan Planning Connnission, and
3. Consider the appointment of a Home Builder, a REALTOR,
and an attorL~ey at law as members of the Salina Planning Commission.
