Amend CAC By-LawsDecember 18, 1975 PLANNING D IFIE CT 0 F'~ Salina City Commission 300 West Ash Salina, Kansas 67401 Gentlemen: Pursuant to Resolution #3215 creating the Salina Citizens' Advisory Committee, bylaws were adopted on March 27, 1975, which specified the purpose of the Committee, provided for qualifications of members, and the election of officers, enumerated the duties of those officers, provided guidelines for meetings, committees, and amendments, etc. Article III, Section 4 reads as follows: "The Steering Committee shall recommend to the City Commission replacement of any member who has three consecutive absences from regular meetings." "Vacancies on the Committee shall be filled by the appointing authority for the unexpired term only." It is with deep regret that I must now forward to you the names of the following members who have been unable to comply with that provision and ask you for their replacement. We would suggest that you either: 1. Replace the member with another. . 2. Remove the member pending the appointment of another. 3. Notify us that you prefer to leave the member on the Citizens' Advisory Committee. In an effort to make this request as current as possible, it should be pointed out that we are still in need of replacements for Dorothy Shottenkirk (Area J) and John Hedeen (Area F), both of whom have resigned.
