AGREEMENT- •
THIS AGREEMENT made -and.entered into this ;lyJJJe/ day of -March, 1962, by the
• Water and Sewage Department of the City of Salina, Kansas, and Sears Roebuck' and
Company.
• For and in consideration of the mutual-convenants ,hereinafter stated it is
hereby agreed:
1. The Water and Sewage Department shall furnish" all. water,records or forms to
• Sears Roebuck and Company to use for collection 'and remittance^ of 'receipts and pay it
five cents per account collected.
2.. A. Sears Roebuck and Company;is ito furnish thetoffice• space;; light, heat
and office equipment and to determine the manner and method in which the work shall
be performed and to conduct the collection in the name of Sears Roebuck and Company
and agrees that all persons shall be employed by and responsible to Sears Roebuck
and Company and not the Water and Sewage Department. . •
B. Sears Roebuck and Company shall protect, indemify and hold harmless the
Water and Sewage Department from any loss, damage, liability and expense for all
injuries, including, death or damage to property directly•or -indirectly arising to
growing out of. the performance of this contract. •

C. Sears Roebuck and Company to accept and receipt for the payment 'of moneys
paid on accounts due The Water and Sewage Department from its customers.
D. Sears Roebuck and Company to account for •such moneys received and remit the
the same daily'at the office ,of the Water and Sewage Department and keep accurate
records thereof.

E. Sears Roebuck and Company shall have no authority to adjust or comprise any
accounts, and shall have no authority other than herein expressly stated.
3. Either party hereto shall have the right to terminate this contract at any
time by the written. notice to' the other, in which event Sears Roebuck and Company
shall surrender to the Water and Sewage Department all forms and records supplied by
the Water and Sewage Department and account for and deliver to the Water and Sewage
Department all collections made.
