H-2 Appeal Mobile Home PermitNovember 14, 1974 To the Salina City Commission: I wish to appeal the decision of October 30, 1974 by the Board of Zoning Appeals concerning the approval of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 9, Wallerius Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. I wish to allow an exception to permit mobilehome lots on said property. The area I am asking for approval now has mobilehomes on the West and South side. If I am allowed to build six lots, it will square off an existing park. Due to the fact that mobilehomes are on two sides of these lots, I feel the lots will never be deve]sped for permanent housing. If I am denied this exception to build mobilehome spaces within an existing park, then where can I build them? I feel there is a re~l need for more mobilehome park- ing in the city. I r~n a survey of v~cant sp~ces and h~ve found lots to accomodste 70' mobilehomes are nearly non-exist- ant. I understand the city doe~ hsve ~ housing shortage. When people need a place to live, mobilehome living is comfort- able, very low cost and adequate housing with up to 980 sq. ft. on single units and 1,960 sq. ft. on double wides. I feel my petition was denied for no Just cause. mm/sm Respectfully submitted, Monty Montee 621 Beverly Dr. Salins, Kansas 67~01 SURVEYORS CERTIFICAT .... 657.. ; _.. 65~ 65~ LOT FIVE G5t IL_ SEVEN 65~ 65~ N 1" = OTTO AVENUE ?0t SURVEY OF LOTS 5,6,7, AND 8, BLOCK 9, .~C;D LOT 2, BLOCK 13, WALLLRIUS ADDITION TO THE CIi¥ OF $ALINA, MATCH SHEET t v~hus lie' ,~TURN 2 3 4 5 6 7 ~. b 18 ........ 9 o MERCURY AVE. ~ AVE.: I il AVEJ
