WHEREAS,
The Silver Sabres, Salina's Drum and Bugle Corps, are. Salina's
1974 Musical and Youth Ambassadors.
WHEREAS
The Salina Silver Sabres are carrying the Banners of the City
of Salina and other Sponsors into the states of Nebraska, Oklahoma,
and New York during the current competitive season.
WHEREAS,
The Salina Silver Sabres are the host corps for the fifth annual
Salina Invitational Drum and Bugle Corps Contest on Wednesday evening,
July 24, 1974, at the Salina High School Stadium.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, William Usher, Mayor of the City of Salina, Kansas,
in recognition of the dedication of the youthful members of the Corps,
do hereby proclaim the week of July 22, to July 28, 1974, as Drum and
Bugle CorPs Week; and urge the citizens of Salina to join in this salute
to the Silver Sabres.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of
