Gentlemen:
The Recreation Commission of the said city hereby peti-
tion your honorable body to acquire certain land to be
added to "SUNSET PARK" in said city for park purposes
and described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the south line of
Sunset Park 40 feet west of the southeast
corner of said park, thence due south to
the point of intersection with the northeast
right-of-way line of U.S.Highway #81, thence 1
northwesterly on said right-of-way line to i
its intersection with the east line of the
right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad
right-of-way, thence northeasterly on said
railroad right-of-way line to its intersec-
tion with the south line of said park, ex-
tended west, thence due east to the place of
beginning. I�

The Recreation Commission of Salina respectfully
recommends for your consideration the purchase for
recreational purposes , of the ground immediately south
of Sunset Park extending to Highway 81, and that part of
said ground be used for construction of baseball and
„softball playfields. .
