LETTER OF AGREEMENT
Following is Eisterholdllewellyn' s proposal to consult with the
Smoky Hill Museum and to assist the Museum in developing a program
statement, define programming options, and outline subsequent
exhibit development tasks to be performed by staff or outside
sources.
We propose to come to Salina on or around February 13-14 and meet
with the Director, staff, and interested members of the board or
community regarding past and anticipated exhibit program efforts,
and to follow up with a 6-10 page report with time and budget
projections .
Specifically, we will be looking at :
The results of past program development efforts
Levels and sources of community support
Extent and organization of collections, and the potential for
directed acquisition
Extent and organization of primary and secondary research resources
Programming constraints inherent in the available building
space (s) .
Current and projected staff capabilities .
Current and projected staff commitments to new and/or ongoing
programs .
Equities held by the Museum and/or its Board in existing goals and
institutional objectives .
Results of past efforts and collecting and fundraising in the
community & region.
We estimate the cost of this work to be $2, 000 plus reimbursable
expenses, not to exceed $2, 300 total. This work will be completed
and presented at the end of one month from our site visit .
If you agree to the terms outlined here, please sign and return one
copy to us, and we will finalize travel plans for the site visit .
