A resolution appointing members to the Library Board.
BACKGROUND:
Resolution Number 12-6875 adopts the citizens’ boards and commission policy. Section 2 instructs
that members will be appointed by resolution submitted by the Mayor to the full City Commission for
final approval.
COMMISSION ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 13-6997.
RESOLUTION NUMBER 13-6997
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE LIBRARY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Section 2 of Resolution Number 12-6875 calls for Citizen Board member appointments to
be made by resolution submitted by the Mayor to the full City Commission for final approval; and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on certain Citizen Boards, Commissions and Committees; SO
NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. The following, as proposed by the Mayor of the City of Salina, is hereby appointed to the
designated Board for the term indicated:
Library Board
David Parks appointed to fill the unexpired term of Sandie Johnson.
Mary Lemon appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mary Bender.
Karma DeForest reappointed until 4/30/2017.
Mary Shaffer reappointed until 4/30/2017.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 15th day of April, 2013.
