Petition: To lift the 10' utility easement on the west portion of the plot and a portion of the south
easement(see attached highlighted drawing of plot). The request on the west portion is from the most
north portion of the plot to 5'from the most south portion of the lot. The small south portion that we
are asking to be lifted is from the west property line over 40 feet to the east,and only 5 feet from the
current south easement line(verse all 10 feet in the current south easement). In the attached drawing,
we've highlighted in yellow the portion we would like to have lifted.
The reason we are asking for the lifting of the highlighted easements is because we would like to put a
22'x24'garage in the southwest corner of the backyard (still taking into consideration the city
restrictions for how close a property can be to the property lines). It would make it difficult to access
the garage with the inability to place it in the current easements. According to the City's website and
plot plans at the City's office,there appear to be no utilities in the area we are asking to be lifted. Also,
the areas we are asking to be lifted would still allow access to utilities in the area. Please feel free to
