Gentlemen and Mrs. Cooper:
The Metropolitan Planning Commission, by a vote of 7-1,
recommends denial of Petitions #3294, 3295 and 3296,
filed by G & K, Inc., George C. Etherington, on the
basis of policy statements in the 701 Plan and Land
Use Plan, public opposition and the possibility of.
establishing a precedent for further commercial
development in that area.
Mr. Etherington petitioned for annexation, approval of
the Preliminary Plat, and zoning for the proposed
McArthur Addition to Salina, Kansas, located on South
Ohio Street.
