(A) We,the undersigned,being owners of record of property liable for assessment for the following improvements:
The curb,guttering,paving, grading and drainage for approximately 830 lineal feet of Stonepost Lane; approximately 140 lineal feet of
Brookefield Drive;and approximately 830 lineal feet of Ridgehill Drive(the"Street Improvements).
The installation of approximately 2271 lineal feet of six-inch and eight-inch water main, fire hydrants,valves, fittings,service connections
for water lines lying within curb lines and all appurtenances thereto(the"Water System Improvements").
The installation of approximately 1,509 lineal feet of sanitary sewer main, service connections for sewer lines lying within curb lines,
manholes and all appurtenances thereto(the" Sanitary Sewer Laterals B,C,and D").
The installation of approximately 1,157 lineal feet of sanitary sewer main,service connections for sewer lines lying within curb lines,
manholes and all appurtenances thereto(the"Sanitary Sewer Lateral A").
The installation of a stormwater detention pond(the"Stormwater Detention Pond").
Hereby propose that such improvement be made in the manner provided by Article 6a,Chapter 12 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, as
amended.
(B) The estimate or probable cost of such improvement is:
Eight Hundred Fourteen Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-six Dollars and sixty cents. ($814,866.60)
(C) The extent of the proposed improvement districts to be assessed as indicated on the attached plat and is described as follows:
Lots 1-12, Block 1; Lots 1-13 Block 2; Lots 1-14, Block 3; Lots 1- 9, Block 4; Lots 1-17, Block 5; Lots 1-4 and 6-25, Block 6; Lots 1-6,
Block 7, all in the Magnolia Hills Estates Addition, in the City of Salina,Kansas, and an unplatted tract of land known as parcel#085-099-
29-0-40-01-03.02-0-01,and legally described as:
A tract of land located in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter(S.W. '/4 S.E. '/4)of Section 29,Township 14 South,
Range 2 West of the 6`h Principal Meridian in the City of Salina, Saline County,Kansas,more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section Twenty-nine(29);thence on an assumed bearing of N
00°26'51"W,along the West line of said Southeast Quarter for a distance a distance of 564.18 feet to a point on the South line of
Magnolia Hills Estates Addition extended;thence N 89°26'52"E along said South line of Magnolia Hills Estates Addition a
distance of 896.98 feet to the Southeast corner of Magnolia Hills Estates Addition and the West line of Magnolia Hills Addition;
thence S 00°33'05"E along the West line of Magnolia Hills Addition a distance of 564.18 feet to the South line of said Southeast
Quarter;thence S 89 026'52"W along said South line a distance of 898.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; Said tract contains 11.62
acres,more or less. Except and subject to 50.00 foot right-of-way easements along the South and West boundary,easements,
reservations and restrictions of record."
(D) The proposed method of assessment is:
Each lot and parcel of land in the improvement district shall be assessed equally per lot,except that the unplatted tract of land shall be
assessed as 25 separate lots(with such assessment equal to the density of lots per acre within the Magnolia Hills Estates Addition).
(E) The proposed apportionment of.costs between the improvement district and the City at Iarge is:
One hundred percent(100%)of the total cost of improvements shall be assessed to the Improvement District and no portion of costs shall
be paid by the city at large. The costs of the improvements within the Improvement District shall be further allocated as follows:
One hundred percent(100%)of the Street Improvements, Water System Improvements, and Sanitary Sewer Laterals B, C, and D
shall be assessed to the following lots: Lots 1-12,Block 1;Lots 1-13,Block 2; Lots 1-7,Block 3;Lot 9,Block 4; of the
Magnolia Hills Estates Addition.
One hundred percent(100%)of the total cost of Sanitary Sewer Lateral A shall be assessed to the following lots: Lots 1-12,
Block.l;Lots 1-13, Block 2;Lots 1-14,Block 3,Lots 6-9,Block 4,Lots 8-12,Block.5;Lots 23-25,Block 6; Lots 1-6,Block 7
of the Magnolia Hills Estates Addition.
One hundred percent(100%)of the costs of the Stormwater Detention Pond shall be assessed to all property within the
Improvement District.
(F) We further propose that such improvement be made without notice and hearing as required by K.S.A. 12-6a01 et seq.
• No name may be withdrawn from this petition after the Governing Body commences consideration of the petition or later than seven (7)
days after this petition has been filed with the City Clerk(K.S.A. 12-6a04);
