(A) We,the undersigned, being owners of record of property liable for assessment for the following improvements:
The construction and reconstruction of pavement,curb and gutter,sidewalks,driveways,seeding,irrigation,storm sewers and associated
electric utility relocation in the street right-of-way of: Mulberry-Street between Seventh Street and Eighth Street;the east side of Eighth
Street to a point approximately 650 feet north of Mulberry;the west side of Seventh Street to a point approximately 650 feet north
of Mulberry;the west side of Seventh Street approximately 50 feet south of Mulberry,and in the alley right-of-way running south
of Mulberry between Seventh Street and Eighth Street to a point approximately 200 feet south of Mulberry.
Hereby propose that such improvement be made in the manner provided by Article 6a,Chapter 12 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated,as
amended.
(B) The estimate or probable cost of such improvement is:
Four Hundred Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-Seven and 20/100 Dollars --------------($407,477.20)
(C) The extent of the proposed improvement district to be assessed as indicated on the attached plat and is described as follows:
Pioneer Presidents Place: All of School Park Addition,except Lots 1 —5 in the Original Townsite of the City of Salina,Saline County,
Kansas.
St.Johns Lutheran Church: Lots 170,172,174,176,178,180,and the North 25'of Lot 182 Seventh Street,Original Townsite to the City of
Salina,Saline County, Kansas. Lots 169, 171, 173,and 175 Eighth Street,Original Townsite to the City of Salina, Kansas.
(D)The proposed method of assessment is:
• Per square foot for the cost of improvements for all work north of Mulberry Street to be assessed to Pioneer Presidents Place as described
. above,subject to he apportionment of costs to the city-at-large.
• Per square foot for the cost of improvements for all work south of Mulberry Street to be assessed to St.Johns Lutheran Church as described
above.
• Per square foot for the costs of electric utility relocation at the Mulberry Street crossing assigned equally to the Pioneer Presidents Place
tracts and the St.Johns Lutheran Church tracts,subject to the apportionment of costs to the city-at-large.
(E) The proposed apportionment of costs between the improvement district and the improvement district and the City-at-large is:
The portions to be assessed against the improvement district include:
One Hundred percent(100%)of the cost for improvements in the street and alley right-of-way except the electric utility relocation along
Eighth Street,Mulberry Street,and the crossing of Mulberry Street.
Fifty percent(50%)of the cost of the electric utility relocation along Eighth and Mulberry Street,and the electric utility crossing of
Mulberry Street.
The portions to be assessed against the City-at-large include:
Fifty percent(50%)of the cost of the electric utility relocation along Eighth Street and Mulberry Street,and the electric utility crossing of
Mulberry Street.
(F) We further propose that such improvement be made without notice and hearing as required by K.S.A. 12-6a04(1) as amended.
• No name may be withdrawn from this petition after the Governing Body commences consideration of the petition or later than seven(7)
days after this petition has been filed with the City Clerk(K.S.A. 12-6a04).
