Section 1. That Sec. 34-6o~., of the Salina Code is h
amended to read as follows:
Sac. 34-60°. Rate of Fare Established.
The rates of fare of taxicabs for conveying persons
shall be as follows; For th.~: first on~-third mile 'or
portion thereof, Fifty C=..~s ($0.50) and for each
succeeding one-third mile or fraction thereof, Ten
Cents ($0 10) provided

the foreg'oing rate. all conveyances b~.t .... n 6:00 P M
to 12;00 A.M. shall be subject to an additional

an additional charge of Forty--Five Cents ($0.45);

excepting ch{ldren ~ -~
- u~er five years of age, and for
groceries and luggage an additional Fifteen Cents
($0.15) for each two parcels conveyed.. Ail charges
are to he based on the most direct route and the. op-
era=or.= of taxicabs are_.~.h~r~by_ . requir~d to utilize
the' most direct route in transportation.
Section 2. That ~xisting Sec. 34-68 of the Saline Code is
hereby.repealed.
Section 3. This ordinanca shall be in full force and effect
