The Planning Commission recommends approval of the site plan
presented by Bennett Pontiac for development of an automotive
body repair shop in the Northeast Industrial Park urban renewal
project, Kans. R-29.
The Planning Commission further recommends denial of Bennett
Pontiac's request for an exception to the Urban Renewal Plan
requirement for paving of parking areas.

I have discussed your paving requirements for
the Bennett Body Shop with Mr. Harold Eagletons
Chairman of the Urban Renewal Commission. We
would appreciate your reconsidering your require-
ments that all parking areas for.the property be
paved.
We believe ~hat due to the low traffic volume,
that paving of the approaches to a depth of
32 feet 6 inches would be adequate, with the
balance of the driveways and parkin9 areas to
be gravel, surfaced. We feel that it. is desirable
that the Northeast Industrial Park be developed with
all due regard to aesthetics as well as that. it be
developed as pronpt!y as possible.
