April 23 through April 29
WHEREAS,
Governor Robert Docking has proclaimed the wee]: of
April 23 through April 29 as Clean-Up Week in Kansas;
and
WHEREAS,
a vigorous clean-up effort can make an important con-
tribution to the Fire Safety and the Beautification of
our community throughout the year; and
WHEREAS,
Clean-Up Week offers each and every citizen the
challenge of shouldering his own fire safety responsi-
bilities to insure against the needless loss of lives
and property; and
WHEREAS,
a thorough Spring Clean-Up is of the utmost importance
to Safety and Health, and that pollution, due to the
accumulation of solid waste material is an ever-
.increasing threat to the health of all citizens of Salina,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert C. Caldwell, b~yor of the City of Salina,
Kansas, Proclaim the week of April 23 through 29, 1972
as "Clean-Up Week" in the city of Salina, Kansas and
urge the cooperation of the citizens of Salina during
this observance.
