The City of Salina acquired Park Number 5 by condemnation action, filed on
December 1, 1937, for improvements to Broadway Boulevard. A certain portion
of this tract is not required by the city for street or utility purposes and
is considered surplus property.
Resolution Number 82-3624 - determining that certain real estate is no longer
needed by the City of Salina for park purposes and that a sale thereof would
be in the best interest of the City - should be adopted today, and if a
petition is not filed within 30 days calling for a referendum, we anticipate
setting a January, 1983 date to receive bids on the property.
