AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 to 12~526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kans.~s:
Section 1. That the following described land, to-wit:
A tract of land in the East Half (E I/2) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW/4) of Section Twenty-two (22), Township Fourteen (14) South,
Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline
County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
The north six hundred (600) feet of the East Half (E 1/2) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW/4), less a tract of land for State Highway
right-of-way described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said quarter section;
Thence south along the east line of said quarter section
550.0 feet;
Thence northwesterly to a point 120.O feet South and 239.2
feet West of said northeast corner;
Thence westerly to a point 70.O feet South and 989.2 feet
West of said northeast corner;
Thence north 70.0 feet to a point on the north line 989.2
feet West of said northeast corner;
Thence east along said north line to the place of beginning,
containing 2.83 acres, more or less, and a tract of land
for county road right-of-way being the north 75.0 feet of said
East Half (E 1/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW/4) containing
· 59 acre, more or less.
Said tract of land contains 14.9 acres, more or less, excluding State
Highway right-of-way and county road right-of-way.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the Cit~ of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
