AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING, BY REFERENCE, THE 1982 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM
PLUMBING CODE, AMENDING SECTION 9-200 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE
EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 9-200 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 9-200. Uniform Plumbing Code adopted.
In order to protect the public health and safety of the
City through the establishment of minimum regulations for the
installation, alteration, and repair and maintenance of plumbing
and drainage systems, the provisions of the 1982 Edition of
the Uniform Plumbing Code and all Appendices thereto, are
hereby incorporated, by reference, herein and adopted as the
plumbing code of the City of Salina, Kansas, except as
modified by Article VII of Chapter 9 of the Salina Code, of
which not fewer than three (3) copies have been, and now are
on file in the Office of the City Clerk and the same are
hereby incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein
and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the
installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of all
plumbing and drainage systems within the corporate limits of
the City."
Section 2. That the existing Section 9-200 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3- This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
