NOW THEREFORE:
The Salina National Guard has provided continuous ser-
vice to the citizens of Salina for the past sixty
years, and
The Salina National Guard is comprised of local
citizens who devote their weekends preparing to
assist the city and state in times of emergency and
provide a ready reserve for National Defense, and
The Salina National Guard calls upon the City of
Salina again to assist these patriotic citizens in
the fulfillment of their mission be encouraging
participation and support of the Salina National
Guard.
I Mayor Merle Hodges, do proclaim the week of
January 11th through 17th as National Guard Aware-
ness week and call upon all the citizens of Salina
to support the Kansas National Guard.
