Bids were received on June 18, 1981 at lO:O0 A.M. for street
improvements consisting of bituminous overlay (Project No. 81-681).
The sole bid received is tabulated below:
(a) Brown & Brown, Inc.
$51,800.00
The bid was then reviewed by our office and found to be valid.
It is our recommendation that the contract for the above improVements
(Project No. 81-681)~be awarded to Brown & Brown, Inc., Salina, Kansas,
who submitted the low bid of $51,800.00. The Engineer's Estimate for
this' project was $54,200.00.
This project involves the placing of a 2-1/2" bituminous overlay
on Ohio Street between Iron Avenue and Stack Avenue.
