Petition Number 3809 - requesting the removal of one (1) parking
meter and creating a loading zone.
I spoke with Mr. Don Morris at the First National Bank & Trust Co.,
who said this loading zone would be beneficial because of their money
drop box, located on the south side of the bank. Also, they have
several deliveries each day from their other banks. Mr. Malcom White,
who has an armored car service, said they have several deliveries.a
day at this bank and the loading zone would be very helpful. Mr. Chas.
Brown of the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. also has a need for this loading
zone.
These delivery vehicles have been receiving parking tickets 'from
either double parking or parking in the restricted zone south of the
building.
In view of these delivery requirements, this department recommends
the approval of this loading zone. Attached is a sketch showing the
location of the proposed loading zone.
If you agree with the above recommendation you should adopt Resolution
Number 81-3542.
The Police Department concurs with this recommendation.
