This ordinance relates to the letter written by Martha Rhea dated
December 23, 1980, which you received a copy of last week. Ordi-
nance 94928 passed in January, 1939, amended only Section 1 of Or-
dinance ~2875 which was passed November 5, 1923, creating the Board
of Trustees for the Municipal Band.
Passage of the proposed ordinance will repeal both of thOse ordi-
nances and dissolve the Board of Trustees. This action will place
the Municipal Band clearly under the Salina Arts Commission.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBERS 2875 AND 4928 PERTAINING TO
THE TRUSTEES OF THE MUNICIPAL BAND.
BE IT OREAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Ordinance Numbers 2875 and 4928 of the City of Salina,
Kansas, be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
