MENTS IN THE CITY OF ~~~~~~F~~~~~~HC:R~ IZED BY RESOLUTION NO. 10-6703 OF THE CITY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF SUCH SPECIAL AS- SESSMENTS. WHEREAS, the govern- ing body of the City of Sa- lina, Kansas (the "City") pursuant to Resolution No. 10-6723, has hereto- fore authorized certain in- ternal improvements (the "Improvements") to be constructed pursuant to K.S.A. 12-6a01 et seq. Notification. The City Clerk shall notify the owners of the proper- ties described in Exhibit A attached hereto insofar as known to said City Clerk, of the amounts of their respective assess. ments. Section 4. Certlflca. tion. The special assess- ments shall be certified by the City Clerk to the County Clerk in the .same manner and at the same time as other taxes are certified and will be col. lected in fifteen (15) an. nual installments, together with interest on such amounts at a rate not ex- ceeding the maximum rate therefore as prescribed by the Act. Interest on the assessed amount remain- ing unpaid between the ef- fective date of this Ordi. nance and the date the first installment is payable, but not less than the amount of interest due during the coming year on any outstanding bonds is- sued to finance the 1m. provements, shall be added to the first install. ment. The interest for one year on all unpaid install- ments shall be added to each subsequent install. m~~t~~~1 K~i'lmendment of Resolution No. 10-6723. Section 1 (b) of Resolution No. 10-6723 is hereby amended as fol. lows: (b) The estimated cost of the Improvements is: Nine hundred sev. enty-seven thousand nine hundred sixteen dollars and sixty-nine cents ($977,916.69). Section 6. Reimburse- men!. The City expects to make certain capital ex. penditures from and after the date of this Resolution in connection with the Im- provements described herein, and intends to re- imburse itself for such ex- penditures with the pro- ceeds of one or more se- ries of general obligation bonds and temporary notes of the City in the maximum principal amount of $971,916.69. Section 7. Recording. The City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Ordi- nance with the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas. Section 8. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication once in the of- ficial City newspaper.
