Bids were received ~n May 5, 1983 at 10:00 a.m. for a sanitary sewer
extension on Van Horne Street. The bids received for the sanitary sewer
improvements are tabulated:
(a) Stevens Contractors, Inc. $11,435.00
(b) Smoky Hill, Inc. $11,557.00
(c) Frank Construction Company, Inc. $15,450.60
The three (3) bids were reviewed by our office and all bids were found
to be valid. It is our recommendation that the contract for the above sanitary
sewer improvements (Project No. 83-701) be awarded to Stevens Contractors, Inc.,
Salina, Kansas, who submitted the low bid of $11,435.00. The Engineer's
Estimate for this project was $13,185.00.
