APPLICATION FOR THE KEEPING OF A HORSE(S)
IN THE CITY OF SALINA~ KANSAS

The distance between the exterior limits of the place where a horse,
or horses, are kept and the exterior limits of the nearest dwelling
occupied by any person other than the applicants owner, or oermit
holder shall not be less than fifty feet (50'), for ~ermitting per
horse in the City of Salina one-half (½) acre together (21~780
square feet).
Every keeper of any horse(s) shall confine in an enclosure sufficient
to prevent their running at large, and such enclosure shall be main-
tained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times and an aporoved
insecticide shall be us6d as often as deemed necessary. Also, he
shall provide adequate and sanitary drainage for the area.
Every keeper of any horse(s) in the City of Salina shall cause the
litter and dropoings therefrom to be collected twice a week in a
closed container or receptacle of such a type that when closed it is
ratproof and flyproof. At least twice each ~eek~ each such keeper
shall cause all litter and droppings so collected to be disposed of
in such a way as not to permit the presence of fly larvae.

Every keeper of any horse(s) in the City of Salina shall cause all
feed grain provided therefor to he stored and kept in a closed rat-
proof, fly-tight building, box, container or receptacle.
