Second Reading Ordinance Number 84-9036 - levying ~special assessments against
certain lots and pieces of property to pay the cost of cutting weeds on ~
certain lots and parts of lots and the Parkways abutting thereon in the City
of Salina, Kansas.
This ordinance was introduced for first reading on August 13, 1984.
The minimum cost per lot is $50.00 except on sidewalk cleanup which is a
lesser amount.
The total to be assessed to property owners for weed cutting is $11,968.66.

AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AGAINST CERTAIN
LOTS AND PIECES OF PROPERTY TO PAY THE COST OF CUTTING WEEDS ON
CERTAIN LOTS AND PARTS OF LOTS AND THE PARKWAYS ABUTTING THEREON
IN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed
against each of the lots and parts of lots hereinafter described, pursuant to
the provisions of Section 24-9 of the Salina Code, a special tax or assessment
for the purpose of paying the cost of cutting weeds on certain lots and parts of
lots and on the parkways in front of the same or abutting thereon, from
August 1, 1983 to July 31, 1984, said weeds having been cut as provided for
by law, and the various amounts set forth opposite the following described lots

immediately certify the assessments made in Section 1 of this ordinance Lo the
County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed upon the tax roll for
collection subject to the same penalties and collectea in like manner as other

Section 3, That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption aha publication once in the official city newspaper.
