Bids were received on August 2, 1984, at 10:00 a.m. for street improvements
consisting of machine laid seal & bituminous overlay (Project No. 84-723).
sole bid received is tabulated below:

$227,550.00
The bid was then reviewed by our office and found to be valid. It is our re-
commendation that the contract for the above improvements (Project No. 84-723)
be awarded to Brown & Brown, Inc., Salina, Kansas, who submitted the low bid of
$227,550.00. The Engineer's Estimate for this project was $248,350.00.
This project involves street improvements on the following streets:
Broadway Boulevard - Viaduct to Pacific Street
Cloud Street - Fourth Street to Roach Street
Fourth Street (Northbound) - Claflin Avenue to Kirwin Avenue
Fourth Street (Southbound) -Claflin Avenue to Minneapolis Avenue
Glen Street - Claremont Drive to Marymount Road
Pacific Street - Ninth Street to Front Street
This project will be funded with special gas tax and sales tax monies.
