Petition #3872, requesting that the parking restriction on the west side of
Westport Boulevard from the south line of Lot 6, to the north line of Lot 14,
Block 3, Westport Exchange Addition be removed.
This petition was referred to the City Engineer on May 11, 1984, for a
recommendation.
The area requested to allow trucks to parallel park on the west side of Westport
Boulevard is opposite one "T" intersection and four entrances, two of which are
large and busy parking lots.
In view of the amount of traffic on this street and the amount of open space that
could be developed for truck parking, I would recommend that this petition be
denied and the parking restriction remain on Westport Boulevard.

Saline County, Kansas. (Trucks parked in this area are customers of the Heart of
America Inn, Inc., the Carousal, Russell's, and Big John's, and no convenient
space of equal desirability is available for use.)
