ADDENDUM TO SUBDIVISION PROCEDURES
The policy of this office in accepting plats for approval shall be as provided
in Ordinance.No. 6751 with the following additions:
A. Preliminary Plats
1. Twelve (12) copies of the Preliminary Plat must be submitted
along with the written application for approval.
2. The location of boundary lines must include all bearings and
distances (KSA 58-2004).
3.' Closure calculations of the exterior boundary including the
latitude and departure of each course shall be submitted with
the Preliminary Plat. The area of the subdivision shall be
computed by the double meridian distance method (D.M.D.)
(KSA 58-2004).
B. Final Plats
1. Prior to the submittal of the final plat, all corners in the
boundary of the subdivision shall be monumented with an iron
bar, no smaller than three-fourths (3/4) inch in diameter and
two (2) feet in length, set rigidly in concrete (KSA 58-2001).
2. Where any section or quarter section corner is involved in the
control establishing the location of a subdivision boundary,
said point shall be clearly monumented and labelled before it
is used in the subdivision control.
3. All plats located in a flood hazard area shall conform to
Resolution No. 3186 and shall be so noted on the plat. Suggested
wording is as follows:
"This plat shall conform with the provisions of Resolution
No. 3186 of the City of Salina dealing with flood hazard areas."
This policy shall become effective this 1st day of November, 1974.
