Be advised that the following list of railroad crossings are
deficient in accordance with Ordinance No. 8094 - City of Salina,
Kansas. Ordinance No. 8094 requires your compliance by making the
specified repairs. In the event your company should fail to repair
or replace the crossings within the specified 30 days, the City will
effect such repairs or replacements and assess the cost of such
repairs or replacements, or any costs associated therewith to the
railroad company.
The Missouri Pacific Railroad Co. is hereby ordered and directed
to repair and maintain that portion of the street occupied by their
tracks on the following streets:
Santa Fe Avenue, Ninth Street, Twelfth Street, Elm Street,
North Street, Ohio Street, Cloud Street, Ash Street,
Broadway Boulevard and Crawford Avenue.
The above list of crossings are all in need of repair. If you
concur, the City would commence the minor repairs immediately in
order that they not become a major repair. As mentioned above, the
City will bill your company for all expenses incurred.
It appears some crossings on North Fifth Street have been
abandoned. If the railroad would remove these crossings, the City
would repair the street at our expense. The railroad would have
the option to reopen these crossings in the future, if needed.
