QUITCLAIM DEED
THIS INDENTURE, made this 1st day of August, 1988, by and
between the CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, a municipal corporation, hereinafter
referred to as the "Party of the First Part", and WOODROW A. ROSS AND
OLA M. ROSS, husband and wife, hereinafter referred to as the "Parties of
the Second Part", WITNESSETH:
That the said Party of the First Part, in consideration of the sum of
One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable considerations, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, quitclaim unto the
Parties of the Second Part, their heirs and assigns, all of the following
described real estate, to wit:
Part of Lots One (1) and Three (3), Block Six (6), plus
that vacated portion of Logan Street and a 30 foot
right-of-way adjacent to Lots One (1) and Three (3), all in
Chicago Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point being the intersection of the
center line of Logan Street and the center line of the
30 foot right-of-way between Park Number 2 and Block
6 in Chicago Addition;
Thence on an assumed bearing of South zero degrees
thirty-five minutes fifteen seconds West (S00035115"W)
along the center of said vacated 30 foot right-of-way
distance of one hundred thirty-nine and ninety
hundredths feet (139.901) to the top of bank of Dry
Creek;
Thence North forty-two degrees twenty-two minutes
zero seconds East (N42°22100"E) along said top of bank
a distance of ninety and eighty-eight hundredths feet
(90.88');
Thence continuing along said top of bank North
forty-five degrees fifty-one minutes twenty seconds
East (N45051120"E) a distance of one hundred four and
forty-five hundredths feet (104.451) to the center of
vacated Logan Street;
Thence North ninety degrees zero minutes zero seconds
West (N9010010011W) along the center line of Logan
Street a distance of one hundred thirty-four and
seventy-five hundredths feet (134.751) back to the
point of beginning.
The above described tract of land contains 0.21 acres,
more or less.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Party of the First Part has hereunto
caused this deed to be signed on its behalf by its Mayor thereunto duly
authorized so to do on the day and year first above written.
