(6.3) Recommendation from the City Engineer that a request made by
Wilbur Construction Company for the use of public property at Santa Fe
and Elm Street for aesthetic purposes be approved with the stipulation
that the tree planting conforms to the pattern already established on
Santa Fe Avenue.
(6.4) Report on the sufficiency of Petition Number 3868, filed by Roy
Presley for paving grading and sanitary sewer improvements in Fairway
Estates Addition, and a feasibility report filed for the improvements.
(6.5) Resolution Number 84-3706 - directing and ordering a public
hearing on the advisability of paving, grading, and sanitary sewer
improvements in a certain district and giving notice of such hearing.

(7.1) Recommendation from the City Planning Commission that Zoning
Application 84-2, filed by S R & G Land Company for the rezoning of
approximately 75.28 acres in the N½ SE¼ Section 3, Township 15 South,
Range 3 West, to District I-3 be approved. (Introduce Ordinance 84-9015
first reading)
(7.2) Recommendation from the City Planning Commission that Zoning
Application 84-3, filed by Paul Morse for the rezoning of Lot 13, Block 3,
Van Trine Addition to District R-3, be approved. (Introduce Ordinance
84-9016 first reading)
8. ADMINISTRATION
(8.1) Second Reading Ordinance Number 84-9009 - annexing certain land
to the City of Salina, Kansas in conformity with the provisions of K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive. [A84-1]
(8.2) Second Reading Ordinance Number 84-9010 - providing for the
amendment of Ordinance Number 8526, the same being Chapter 42 of the
Salina Code, and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and
providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and
prescribing the proper uses thereof. [Z84-2, Lot 5, Block 18, Sunset
Manor Addition ]
(8.3) Second Reading Ordinance Number 84-9011 - providing for the
vacation of a portion of a certain utility easement in Valley View
Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
(8.4) Second Reading Ordinance Number 84-9012 - creating the
classification of Industrial Electrician; amending Section 8-131 of the
Salina Code and repealing the original section.

(8.5) Second Reading Ordinance Number 84-9013 - requiring a
licensed electrical contractor to have a master electrician in its
employ at all times; amending Section 8-132 of the Salina Code and
repealing the existing section.
(8.6) Second Reading Ordinance Number 84-9014 - providing for
reexamination of electricians after failure to meet the requirements of
the board of examiners; amending Section 8-137 of the Salina Code and
repealing the existing section.
(8.7) First Reading Ordinance Number 84-9017 - providing for the
payment of interest on security deposits made with the Water Department;
amending Section 41-24 of the Salina Code and repealing the existing
Section.
(8.8) First Reading Ordinance Number 84-9018 - ordering the
condemnation and appropriation of certain land in Saline County, Kansas,
for making improvements to the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and
State Street, all as authorized by K.S.A. 13-1023 and K.S.A. 26-201, and
pursuant to the Eminent Domain Procedure Act, K.S.A. Chapter 26, Article
5, and amendments thereto, as the same relates to condemnation by cities
and further pursuant to Resolution Number 84-3700 of the City of Salina,
Kansas.
(8.9) First Reading Ordinance Number 84-9019 - requiring a licensed
plumbing contractor to have a master plumber in its employ at all times;
amending Section 8-217.1 of the Salina Code, and repealing the existing
section.
(8.10) Interlocal Agreement between the Library, City and County for
the transfer of the historical collection of the Library to the City.
