NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids, addressed to the City of Salina, Kansas, and endorsed
"Bid on Wall" will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, Suite 206,
City -County Building, by D. L. Harrison, City Clerk of Salina,. Kansas, up to
10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 4, 1980, at which time the bids will be opened
publicly and read aloud in Room 200. Bids received later than this hour and
date w1•11 be returned unopened.. The City Commission will award or reject bids
at the City Commission meeting on. Monday, -December 8, 1980, at 4:00 P.M.
The North 6 inches of a 12 inch brick.wall.setting on -the south lot
-tine of Lot 123 on. Fifth Street in the Original Townsite.
A certified or cashier's check must be enclosed for the amount.of
your bid.
Conveyance will be made by quit claim deed and wi11 be subject to
Party Wall Agreement which appears of record and rights of existing tenants.

LEASE AGREEMENT
This lease agreement made and entered into this 31st day of
Ootober,1975, by and between THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and ROYAL TIRE
COMPANY, INC., hereinafter referred to as "Royal", WITNESSETH:
The City does by this agreement hereby lease and demise unto
Royal, the West Forty (40) feet of that certain boundary wall located
on the south boundary of the municipal parking lot located at 133-135
South Fifth Street, Salina, Kansas, for a term of five years beginning
on the 22nd day of November, 1975, at a rental of One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) payable in advance.
It is further mutually agreed by and between the parties
hereto as follows:
(1) Royal shall have the right to paint on said wall and/or
affix thereto and maintain and/or illuminate, painted and/or poster
and/or electrical advertising signs of all kinds and that the sign,
structure and equipment placed on said premises by Royal shall remain
the property of and must be removed by Royal at the expiration of the
term of this lease or any extension thereof.
(2) Royal agrees to save harmless, protect and indemnify the
City from and against any and all loss, damages, claims, suits or actions
at law, judgements and costs, including attorney's fees, which may arise
or grow out of any injury to or death of any person or damage to property
cussed by, arising from or in any manner connected with the exercise of
any right granted or conferred hereby, or the use, maintenance, operation
or condition of the premised, whether sustained by Royal, its respective
agents, or employees, or by any other persons,or corporations whichh seek
to hold the City liable.
(3) At the expiration of the term of this lease, Royal
agrees to remove any sign, posters, structures and equipment placed on
said premises and to restore the premises to the same condition as they
were at the beginning of this lease, normal wear and tear excepted.
(4) Royal shall have the option to extend this lease at the
expiration of the primary term hereof onaa year to year basis at such
rental as may be determined by mutual agreement of the.parties at that
time.
(5) City reserves the right to lease the remainder of said
wall not included in this lease to any other party for advertising
purposes.

LEASE AGREEMENT
This lease agreement made and entered into this 26th day of
August, 1971, by and between THE CITY OF SAL,INA, KANSAS, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and ROYAL TIRE
COMPANY, INC., hereinafter referred to as "Royal", WITNESSETH:
The City does by this agreement hereby lease and demise unto

municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and
ORVILLE BOYLE, doing business as Royal Tire Company of Salina,
Kansas, hereinafter referred to as "Boyle", WITNESSETH:
The City does by this agreement hereby lease and demise unto
Boyle the West Forty (40) feet of that certain boundary wall lo-
cated on the south boundary of the municipal parking lot located
at 133-135 South Fifth Street, Salina, Kansas, for a term of five
years beginning on the 22nd day of November, 1965, and terminating
on the 21st day of November, 1970, at a rental of One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) payable in advance.
It is further mutually agreed by and between the parties

(1). Boyle shall have the right to paint on said wall and/or
affix thereto and maintain and/or illuminate,.painted and/or
poster and/or electrical advertising signs of all kinds and that

at such rental as may be determined by mutual agreement of the
parties at that time.
(5). City reserves the right to lease the remainder of
said wall not included in this lease to any other party for adver-
tising purposes.

LEASE AGREEMENT
This lease agreement made and entered into this let day of
August, 1957, by and between THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, A
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, hereinafter referred to as the Lessor, and
ORVILLE BOYLE, dba ROYAL TIRE COMPANY of Salina, Kansas, hereinaft
referred to as the Lessee, WITNESSETH:
The Lessor does by this agreement hereby lease and demise unto
the Lessee the west forty (40)_feet of that certain boundary wall
located on the south boundary of the municipal parking lot located
at 133-135 S. 5th St., Salina, Kansas, for a term of one year
beginning on the 1st day of August, 1957, and terminating on the
31st day of July, 1958, at a yearly rental of $50.00 per Anndm,
payable in advance.
It is further mutually agreed between the parties hereto as
follows:
1. The Lessee shall have the option to extend this lease from
year to year upon the same terms and conditions as herein set fort,
however after five years from the date heredf the yearly rental
shall be subject to adjustment by mutual agreement of the parties
hereto.
2. Lessee shall have the right to paint on said wall and/or
affix thereto and maintain and/or illuminate, painted and/or poste
and/or electrical advertising signs of all kinds and that the sign ,
structures and equipment placed on said premises by the Lessee shgl
remain the property of and may be removed by the Lessee at any
time prior to the expiration of the term of this lease or any
extension thereto.
3. Lessee covenants and agrees to indemnify and save harmless
the Lessor against all loss, costs or damages from any and all

claims and suits or other actions on account of injury to persona
or property which might arise out of the Lessee's painting and
maintaining said signs.
4. The Lessor reserves the right to lease the^remainder of sai
wall not included in this lease to any other party for advertising
purposes.
