We have received from Kansas Department of Transportation, Bureau of
Transportation and Planning, the latest revision of the City's five (5) to ten
(10) year functional street classification map. This is a street classification
map which designates the City streets that are on the Federal-Aid Urban System.
This is an update from the 1980 functional classification which the City
approved on June 7,1976.
The approval of this map makes all the classified streets shown thereon
e1i9ible for Federal Aid Urban Projects. The County approved this map on
April 18,1983 and the Federal Highway Administration approved it on June 1,1983.
The State is now requesting the City of Salina approve this functional
classification of our streets and we recommend that you give this approval.
